Beyoncé's Father Fires Back at Aretha Franklin

The queen is getting stung back.

Beyoncé's father/manager, Mathew Knowles, has now lashed out against Aretha Franklin in defense of his daughter over a remark she made at the Grammys.

"Something this ridiculous – it's childish, it's unprofessional," Mathew Knowles said in a statement Thursday. "And it's a sad day when egos get bruised because somebody used the word king, queen, prince or princess."

Franklin – known as the Queen of Soul – was offended after Beyoncé introduced Tina Turner as "the queen" during the duo's Grammy performance.

If you thought that Mariah and J Lo had a duet in the works - think again.
Reportedly when Mariah Carey was recently asked if she would do a duet with Jennifer Lopez, her response was the following:
“I’d rather be on stage with a pig — a duet with Jennifer Lopez and me just ain’t going to happen.”
This isn't the first time the diva singers have come to blows.
They first crossed swords in 2001 when Lopez sampled two songs from the soundtrack to Mariah's movie 'Glitter' in two versions of her own hit track 'I'm Real' for her album 'J.Lo'.
An insider on the set of 'Glitter' said at the time, "Mariah was so paranoid about the music getting out that we had another singer sing the temporary versions before the film was released.
"When Jennifer Lopez's album 'J.Lo' came out, and had the exact same song on it, we knew she had a right to be paranoid. We couldn't believe her audacity."
Shortly after the scandal, Carey was interviewed for German television and questioned about fellow divas.
When asked about former 'Destiny's Child' singer Beyoncé Knowles, Carey complimented her beauty and talent.
But when she was questioned about Jennifer, Carey looked incredibly uncomfortable and said, "I don't know her."
The feud was recently reignited when Carey was told Jennifer has eight hours of sleep a night.
She cattily laughed, "If I had the luxury of not actually having to sing my songs, I'd do that too."

Beyoncé Knowles and Jay-Z Married?

Beyoncé Knowles and Jay-Z are said to be “blissfully happy” after tying the knot in a small private ceremony in Paris, during which they reportedly had personal inscriptions tattooed on their ring fingers.

A source revealed, “They didn’t want all the attention that usually follows them around, they just wanted it to be intimate and romantic. It was lovely and they are both blissfully happy. They thought the tattoos would be a lovely personal touch.”

It had been previously rumored that Jay-Z proposed to the 26-year-old singer during a luxury holiday in Cannes at the end of May.

Earlier this month the pair celebrated Jay-Z’s 38th birthday by watching an erotic cabaret show at Paris’ famous nightclub le Crazy Horse Paris.
