Opreah Winfrey broke uot when she found out a dormitory matron at her South Africa school was accused of abusing students , the associated press reported .
When I first heard about it I spent about half -hour going around my house crying. Oprah said . Learning about the allegations was " one of the most devastating experiences of my life she added.
Although Oprah was not responsible for the hiring at the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy , she pointed out that responsible is hers.
She flew to South Africa two weeks ago to apologies to the families of the students.
