Sean Penn is divorcing his wife after 11 years of marriage, People Magazine reported on Friday.Penn's publicist, Mara Buxbaum, confirmed the divorce to the magazine but gave no details. The couple, who lived in Marin, married in 1996. Now The couple are seeking joint custody of their two teenage children. Hopper Jack, 14, and Dylan Frances, 16. Penn has been nominated for a best actor Oscar four times, finally winning in 2004 for Mystic River. The 47-year-old was also married to pop star Madonna for four years in the 1980s. Penn, 47, and Wright, 41, both actors, began dating in the early '90s and have starred together in several films, including 1998's Hurlyburly and 1997's She's So Lovely, directed by Nick Cassavetes. Former wild man Penn who had a short lived marriage to Madonna said once: "Marriage ain't easy, but it's great most of the time.
